Raising the hardworking, fancy kind you depend on for the ranch and win on in the arena.
We focus on disposition, conformation, longevity, and versatility.
Here at LiveWire Ranch, we have been and continue to be blessed with great horses. The broodmares and foals are raised on river pasture here in Sheyenne, ND. We believe that raising foals in rougher country allows them to learn how to carry themselves and sets them up to easily handle any type of ground.
Our roots run deep in agriculture, and the horses are used on the ranch and in the arena. Along with raising quality quarter horses, we are also a commercial cow/calf and backgrounding operation. Starting in late April you will find us along the banks of the Sheyenne River tagging newborn calves. Much of our cattle work is done horseback, and most of our mares have either been used on the ranch, in the arena, or both. If the mares haven’t been ridden themselves, then we’ve more than likely ridden their foals. We want to know the minds of our broodmares as we believe in only breeding quality mares.
